C-CAB works with vulnerable communities in the coastal and riverine regions of Bangladesh to strengthen their ability to withstand and recover from both natural and man-made disasters. Our approach is rooted in understanding and reinforcing local coping strategies, recognizing community wisdom, and building collective capacity for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and management.
By promoting inclusive participation and shared responsibility in disaster planning, we foster ownership, preparedness, and sustainable resilience at the grassroots level—ensuring that communities are not just recipients of aid, but active agents of their own safety and recovery.
Key Focus Areas:
We design and implement inclusive, communication-driven programs that empower communities, protect rights, build resilience, and drive sustainable development across sectors.
